2013 USA Swimming Central Zone Select Camp - May 23-26, 2013 Miami University, Oxford, OH
Congratulations to Iowa athletes - Kelsey Drake, CRAA (100 Fly), Ruby Martin, IFLY (IMX),  Aidan Keen, IFLY (200 Free), Oliver Martin, IFLY (IMX), Mark McGlaughlin (100 Back) for being selected to participate in this camp.  Selection was based on 2012 Long Course Meters IMX point scores- eight girls age 12, eight boys age 13, seven girls age 13 and seven boys age 14.  Then the fastest swimmer in each Zone in each LCM Olympic event (excluding the 50 free, including the 800 and 1500 for both sexes) is invited for a total of 13 additional male and 13 additional female athletes.  If a swimmer was already selected based on IMX score, the next fastest swimmer is selected in that event.

Congratulations to Iowa athletes - Catherine Sell, BLST & Joseph Shie, DMET for being selected to participate in this camp.  Coach Michael Hagensick, BLST & ISI Diversity Committee rep, Dianna Shie, DMET will also be attending.

2012 USA Swimming Diversity National Select Camp - May 3-6, 2012 Colorado Springs, CO
Congratulations to Iowa athlete - Tereysa Lehnertz, IFLY for being selected to participate in this camp.  Athlete must have achieved at least one Diversity Select Camp time standard (AAAA 13-14 age group) achieved in USA Swimming sanctioned meet.  From the applications, the athlete with the fastest times were selected.  Tereysa qualified in the 400IM - Congratulations!

Iowa Swimming Scholarship Awards for 2012 were presented to Morgan Barnes, CRAA and Matthew Boyd, RCA.  Judy Hoffman Memorial Scholarship was presented to Maddie Bro, CIA.

Olympic Trials Qualifiers -  Iowa athletes participating

2011  National Select Camp - October 27-30, 2011 at Colorado Spring.
Congratulations to Iowa athlete - Katharine Ross, CIA for being selected to participate in this camp.  Athletes are selected following the Junior Nationals Long course Championships based on the SWIMS database of top times.  The fastest two eligible athletes in each event (females 14,15,16 during the qualifying period 9/1/09-8/31/11) were invited.  Katharine's coach, Dave Joensen was also invited.  Both are planning to attend.
