CIA Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather which results in early dismissal from the Des Moines Public schools, there will be no practice at Central Campus.  In addition, if the DSM Schools cancel evening activities, there will be no practice at Central.

If either the Des Moines or the Urbandale Schools cancel classes, a reasonable effort will be made to hold practice at Urbandale pool.

During the long course season, if inclement weather occur, practice will be moved to Central Campus.  Because weather conditions can change rapidly, it may be necessary to drive to Ashworth before heading to Central Campus.

In the event of a fire drill during practice, swimmers will need to exit the pool immediately, and move to designated safe areas.

The CIA hotline and website will be updated as quickly as possible when inclement weather causes a change in practice schedule
